    3. they should be in county the event happened.  for instance all records for 1850 1855 would be clark co.  after 1855 they would be in Ouchita county. another example:  baldwin co alabama (largest co east of the miss river) extended originally from present day missisiippi state line to big escambia rive east.  baldwin co affected escambia, monroe, clark, washington and mobile counties.  it was originally part of mississippi territory.  it was also claimed by france, spain, england and the US. depending on the timeline that is where the records would be. marcia collins wrote: > > This leads to MY question George and all, > > If, for instance, you find your people in Clark CO.
