I am not Mormon but I must agree. I have great respect for the LDS and its interest in family history. I am grateful they are here for us. I've visited the LDS site and think that people should probably take a look at that information since it may correct any misconceptions. The address is http://www.lds.org/ And, if it weren't for the LDS records in Salt Lake, I would *not* have information on my grandparents' marriage in 1879. The thread seems inappropriate for a genealogy list when there are so many other avenues to explore if one is concerned about the beliefs of the LDS.
