Folks, I wouldn't normally make a request like this to the Tippers, but it is very important to me and I can't find anyone on any of the volunteer lists who can do this. I have recently learned that there is a collection at the Hoskins Library at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville called "Swiss Colonies in Tennessee and Kentucky Collection," which exists only in manuscript form and is not available for interlibrary loan. My primary surname ancestors lived in the Swiss Colony in Franklin County, which is one of the colonies included in the collection. A trip to Tennessee is out of the question for me right now (I live in South Dakota). I am willing to compensate for time and effort as well as copying and mailing expenses.
