Check it out Regarding the forms from WW1.  I have been fortunate that my dad had saved his papers from WW1.  I have his ENLISTMENT RECORD Form # 3-3164, on the back of the same form was the HONORABLE DISCHARGE FROM THE UNITED STATES ARMY.  Nov 16, 1917-March 14, 1919. He received a citation or certificate from President Richard Nixon. it reads:  THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA HONORS THE MEMORY OF ROY F. MORIN. THIS CERTIFICATE IS AWARDED BY A GRATEFUL NATION IN RECOGNITION OF DEVOTED AND SELFLESS CONSECRATION TO THE SERVICE OF OUR COUNTRY IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES. signed RICHARD NIXON   President of the United States Dolores Stelling
