This is something that I think we all have to deal with. I'm re-starting my project of organizing all I have collected. It is a slow and painful process because I wasn't very good about keeping up with it. This has been going on for about 3 years. *argh* A book that I've found useful with good tips and suggestions is Beverly DeLong Whitaker's Beyond Pedigrees: Organizing and Enhancing Your Work.
