Much in the NEWS these past 10 years, has DNA testing ever been applied to genealogy. I have found an elderly person I firmly believe to be may 2nd cousin one removed. But as yet, I have not located documentation. If I could establish a connection, it would tie me into a line going back to the 13th century. I expect that the lab work would be expensive. Also, while I don't know, I think (usually) it can best be "exclusive". In-other-words, it can determine non-relationship, but not positively determine if there was a relationship. Regards to all, Maybe it is only self-interest, but this could be an interesting thread if anyone knows enough to make a contribution. Frankly, I don't even know how to start investigating this technology. -- Jim McDonnell Seattle seamus@seanet.com A surplus of leisure; a bare sufficiency of funds.
