# 1 start with yourself, husband, children, your parents, grandparents etc.. There are two good sites to search they are www.ancestry.com and the LDS site www.familysearch.org Enter names as requested of your grandparents, great etc. See if someone else has started a page on your line. Birth certificates, death certificates, family Bibles, word of mouth, (from aunts-uncles etc) obits from newspapers, records from funeral homes. there is a site to print free forms for searching at http://www.genrecords.com/ If you have a question go to www.askjeeves.com enter question and sites will come up to search. Good luck, you are on your way to a lot of interesting research.
