Hi Tasha, I believe 1870 is the earliest federal census here in the US. But states and or counties and sometimes cities or townships took their own censuses, earlier than that. 1920 is the newest one available as there is a 72-year privacy law for federal censuses before they are made available to the public. --Carol how far > back census records go back and where I could find them.
