Am I missing something? I realize a degree of privacy is important but it seems we have suddenly become paranoid on the date information for living individuals thing. Are we going to leave out information on possibly 4 or 5 generations until they pass away? If any family member REQUEST that his information not be given to other family members so be it......otherwise such information is of interest to me personally, even if I were not doing research. Jackie, I sympathize with your questioning position. Personally, I am including dates in my information unless there is a question of accurracy or possible embarrassement ( why is my birthdate only 6 months after my parents were married--type thing). OK, I got my fire suit on if anybody wants to burn me!! -----Original Message----- From: by way of Genealogy Records Service <info@genrecords.com> <Jacquel384@aol.com> To: GenTips-L@rootsweb.com <GenTips-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Friday, July 03, 1998 3:27 PM Subject: Listing the Living >Hi: > >Is there anyone who can tell me what is the proper way to address this >situation? > >I have collected thousands of names in doing my 10 family surnames.
