    3. Ft. Snelling is an impressive site.  You may wish to subscribe to the Hennepin County and Ramsey County lists and ask about the cemetery there. In my own case, my husband is buried at Culpeper National Cemetery (commissioned by Abraham Lincoln), in Culpeper, Virginia.  It is beautifully maintained by the federal government and records are available. By the way, a search engine will probably bring up information about Ft. Snelling.
