When preparing family history data for relatives, I include those living. It seems a bit fruitless to not include them---can't talk to the dead ones. However, I DO make sure that folks KNOW this before they agree to give me their info. I also tell them it is for family use only. No adresses or such are listed. If they are requested, I check with the submitter or the individual involved before divulging the info. I have had no problems & many complements on helping to keep the familes connected. JMHO.
