Good afternoon everyone,        I am going to try this again but just a little differently this time.        I am seeking information on my Great Grandfather, John Emmitt WELLS. Death certificate gives birth as Dec 27, 1860 in Jamestown, N.Y.  He married Susan Belle LANGDON Dec 2, 1883 in Worthington, Nobles, MN. He died Feb 25 1935 in Los Angeles, CA.   I can find no information before the 1883 marriage. They moved to Los Angeles, Ca sometime between May 1886 and August of 1888. Does anyone have a John Emmitt WELLS in their family?         According to my Uncle my Greatgrandfather wouldn't talk about his life, If you tried to ask questions he would leave the room.  According to my Mother after  my Grandfather married my Grandmother the family didn't approve of the marriage, he married beneath himself, and they didn't have very much to do with my grandparents family.  I have tried in vain to get in touch with my cousins in the South Bay area but to no avail.        John and Susan had 4 children:  Don William b. Nov 13, 1884, Miriam b. May 26, 1886 both in Worthington, Nobles, MN then they moved to Los Angeles, CA and had my grandfather, Trent Hewitt b. Aug 8, 1888 and Lilly b. Aug 28, 1890.        John was in the Masons and he was a carpenter for the Los Angeles School System at Manuel Arts High School.        If anyone has any information at all please forward it to me personally at dolfin711@aol.com.   I will gladly share everything I have.
