Hi-I'm looking for information of ancestors with the Surnames as listed. Other known for Greathouse is Groethausen, Groethaus, Grothaus.  Other for Rau is Rauh, Raub, and Rowe.  Both names are german, although I cannot find anything on the ships list. I have traced Greathouse back to Isaiah R. Greathouse DOB 1.2.1816 DOD 3.17.1877 m: Martha one known descendant Thomas N. DOB 1851 DOD 1919 born in Warren Ohio.  Other than that I have hit a dead end.  Family history says they came from Germany to PA to OH to IN which is where all are buried.  Isaiah is my husbands gr. gr. grandfather.  Rau is my gr. gr. grandmother Gertrude Carroll Agnew Rau DOB 2.23.1883 DOD 08.74 , mother was Agnes Carroll Agnew.  I have found a James Agnew on a ships list but cannot connect the two.
