    1. RE: Grandmother's
    2. I'm sorry to bother the list again - the message I posted was for Linda Bowden who is researching her Grandmothers. Ruth in NC My problem is a couple of grandmothers. They have vanished and I need some information or suggestions on where and how to proceed now. My ggg grandmother entered Texas as a widow in abt 1834 and filed for and received a Mexican land grant. Her land was in what is now Jasper co Tx. She was in a book called the first citizens of Jasper Co. Then she disappeared. I can not find a trace of her. I cannot find where she married, died, lived, was buried, nothing. She just vanished. Help. I do not have her siblings or parents or maiden name. I know she was born in Canada from the land papers. My other grandmother ( daughter of the one above) disappeared after the 1850 census. I feel that she died. But cannot find where or when or why. Linda Bowden
