Dear LouDean, In my book, "A to Zax, A comprehensive Dictionary for Genealogists & Historians" it has listed under the section "English-Dutch First Names" : Ida = Eytie, Ydje So, you could be right, the "E" in her initials could stand for the name "Eytie" Hope this helps, Diane
