    1. Researching LEDBETTER*BEASLEY*BOMAR*TILL*MCCOY*IN*TX*TN*MS*HELP!
    2. Amen to Scheffler's message requesting we all use the Subject line. I seldom open a message without a subject line because my time online is limited. Since very few people on this list seem to be using the subject line, maybe some folks don't know what it is. If you do, stop here and ignore my attempt to help others if you like. I was once new to computers, email and the interenet so I know how it feels scratch my head, hmmmmm, subject line??? Stop scratchin and relax.... just look below the line you type in the email address of the person you are sending your email to and you should find a line that says Subject:: Use that line to type on in an attempt to capture the attention of those of us who don't open a message that doesn't tell us the subject of the message. As an example, if you type in Researching LEDBETTER*BEASLEY*BOMAR*TILL*MCCOY*IN*TX*TN*MS*HELP! in that line like I did today, you will be more likely to catch the attention of others looking for the same folks. By giving them the states you think they would be in, you will also save them and you a lot of time. Or, you could just say, for instance, What is an archived message?? or How do I copy something from here to a file? Ignoring messages without subject lines is also a way to avoid all the arguments folks get into about subjects you don't care about and that should be sent direct to the person they are arguing with instead of all of us! The * between the names, I believe, keeps the message from being picked up by rootsweb computer system and placed in the archives under each name listed - like today I wouldn't want this message to go to the archives. That also helps save space in the rootsweb computer system which helps keep it fast and easy to use. The only time I wouldn't use the * is when I do want a message to be archived under each name and, as a courtesy, I should limit the names even then. Happy Hunting...Jackie.... just a lady who likes to make the traveling easier out here!
