What is needed to request a surname lookup ? The only info I have is my g'g'fathers name and marriage certificate. His name was JAMES T. KIRKLAND he married MARY ALTA COLSTON on 22 Oct,1891 in Saint Clair Co. Al. (Ashville) Alta was born 21 Feb,1877. I don't have anything on James.
