I am looking for the obit of my Great Grand Father Joseph MADERE. He lived in La Place, LA and his widow and children lived in New Orleans, La after his death. I found him listed in St. John the Baptist Parish in the 1910 census and his widow, remarried, living in New Orleans in the 1920. Here are the details I have on him: Joseph MADERE (b. abt 1861 d. between 1910 and 1920) married Adele DUHE (b. abt 1875) about 1896. They had 4 sons, Joseph A. (b. abt 1897), Stanley Antoine (or Antoinio or Antoine Stanley, b. 21 Sep 1899 d. 18 Jul 1991), Nemour (b. abt 1902) and Edgard (b. abt 1909). I cannot find his parents, but suspect he was born in St. John the Baptists Parish not far from Adele's family. Adele's parents were Louis DUHE and Antionette CALLIE?. I also suspect he is buried in St. Charles Parish at St. Charles Barremeo church. When he was first married, he lived in Montz, LA and St. Charles Barremeo (aka the Little Red Church) was the nearest Catholic Church. Adele remarried to Clare LEBLANC and lived in New Orleans, LA in 1920. Also a Step Daughter, age 19, is listed in the 1920 census by the name Haydee (Haydel?????) I know this is a large period of time, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance. Ruseel Madere, Jr. Metairie, LA ============================================================ Russel R.
