If you have death dates from the CA DI, may I ask if any of these are early? The early ones give the age. Later ones have the spouse's initial on the Index which sometimes helps to sort them out. May I ask if you have looked for the person in what you think is her last census/soundex? Perhaps that will tell you which county is most likely. If you have done both of the above and it is hopeless, try getting the local newspaper on interlibrary loan and looking for an obit. You can check for repositories for any state by going to the Library of Congress Site via Cyndi's list and looking for the newspaper project. Choose your state and see if you can find anything which might be of help. I don't know if any of these suggestions will help you but thought they might help someone. Junebyr@aol.com
