    1. Civil War Death
    2. In answer to your question as to how to get more information about a person you believe died during the civil war, I think I can help. There is a set of books called Roll of Honor, Names of Soldiers who Died iin Defense of the American Union. Your local library may have this and if not you can get the film from the FHD nearest you. Check the pamphlet called US MIlitary Records p 23. The film numbers of the Roll of Honor are there. It is FHC Film numbers 1311589-91. It will be better to look at the books if you can. You have to look in the index of each book for the name. The books are arranged by burial site within the specific state or area. Each entry generally gives the soldier's name, rank, regiment, company and death date and place of burial. Happy Hunting, June
