Louise and all, When you're contacting county offices to obtain information about a marriage remember to ask for a copy of the marriage APPLICATION not the license. The application is where you will find the genealogical information (providing the couple getting married knew the correct facts) but you need to specify this when you write or you'll just get a copy of the license. Also, if you know where any of the relatives were living at the time of their death and it happened after the early 1900's when death certificates began to be required (the date varies by states) you can sometimes get valuable information from those. Again, the information is only as good as the person who provided it knew but it can perhaps give clues. Good luck....Pat
