    1. HELP IN IOWA !
    2. Could someone PLEASE find the 1870 census index for the state of Iowa and let me know if there were any MICKEL or MICKLE people. I would like to know the first names, the County's and the page numbers they appear on. If there are a huge amount (say more than 10) I will be happy to send an SASE and pay for a copy of the page. I will be hopefully going to a library this weekend with almost the whole state of Illinois books and info, census books, marriage and death records mostly, not much after 1870 tho. Will be happy to look someone up. Cidney Engberg Wheaton, IL.

    1. HELP NEEDED!!!!!
    2. Hi All, I am on the Helplist for Genealogical Research in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and I need a favor from some people who receive this list. I received a request from a lady in Ohio requesting a lookup (marriage) during the first 7 months of 1970. She is an adoptive mother, who is helping her son find his birth family. She believes the marriage took place either in Wisconsin, or Michigan-not sure. The child was born on September 1,1970 at Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, Virginia. She is determined to search each county of these two states to help him find his mother and father. I have the name of the child, and a couple of choices on the father's name, which I will give to anyone who is willing to help us out. Maybe a census check would be a good start. I am also open to any suggestions anyone might have to help this lady . Please e-mail me at: B1316@aol.com Sincerely, Bev Oakley :)

    1. Will pay for research.
    2. LYNN D MANCUSO
    3. Hi: I need someone who can go to the main library in New Orleans Louisiana. There is a card file there that has an index of peoples names and when their obituaries appeard in the newspaper. I need someone who can copy all the surnames I need from these files. They will have to copy the full name of the person, date of death and the date the obituary appeared in the newspaper and the newspaper it appeared. If you would be willing to do this let me know. And I will tell you what I can afford to pay when you write. If there is anyone else who has access to such data let me know but I think the only library that has this is the main library in New Orleans on Loyola avenue. If anyone can do this let me know, Lynn

    1. New to list, looking for MS contact
    2. Richard & Patricia Mathews
    3. Hi! Just subscribed to the list. I'm looking for a contact in Mississippi, particularly Lawrence County. I need copies of wills that I know are on file at the Chancery Court. They want to charge me .50 per page to copy the data which would be over $250, a bit out of my price range! I'm in Washington DC area so I can offer lookups and limited (to my very basic abilities) research at the National Archive, Library of Congress, DAR, and other local places. Pat

    1. Re: Re: Computer program/CD for genealogy, frames, trees, etc.
    2. Dear Mrs. Miller: Regarding your letter: First let me say this that we are a division of a company that has been around 37 years, and we are a reputable company doing business in the state of new jersey. Secondly, we take credit cards, and we encourage anyone making a purchase of our AncesTree to use the credit card of their choice. Lastly, we think an apology is in order, as your negative experiences with a vendor should not, and does not apply to our organization, and any comparison of our business to the one you have dealt with is a defamation of our business, and may be subject to litigation. Sincerely, Ronald D. Cutro President
