I can't remember if I have seen this anywhere, but if a Union solider was killed, did his widow get his pension? My ggg-grandfather was killed in 1864 in Arkansas and although I have his military papers, I don't have any pension info (the military ones were sent to me by a cousin). Would he have any pension?
