    3. Hugh, You can also get death certificates for your parents if they have have passed away. You may also be able to get death certificates for your paternal grandparents. If you need help, www.familytreemaker.com has a wonderful how-to guide and genealogy lessons. You have to look around on the home page to find them, but they're worth it.
