I put in a first name and a birth date and clicked search, and it took me to a window which told me that the service was available only to "members" of Anybirthday.com PLUS. If there is a free service, please explain to me how I use it. Polly H. "Polly Held" <phheld@twcny.rr.com>

There are several good free sites online that will supply addresses. When I got the birthdate, a zip code was supplied with it. I tracked down that zip code easily using the Post Office's site: http://www.usps.gov/ With the town name, I went to: http://www.411.com/ which gave me the addresses. BUT...the several ancestors I found in the anybirthday.com site were deceased, so of course there was no address. I then checked online obituaries for them, using their (newly discovered) town name. I found both obituaries online, for free (that amazed even me--what good luck!) It sounds more complicated than it was. This detective work can be fun, and sometimes it's more satisfying after finding someone if you have to use a little genius to get to the information. ;-) Margie "Margie" <margie92@earthlink.net>

Maybe they think they'll cash in on a good thing. Delores dcj@dmv.com
