Burr Artz Central Library > Frederick County Public Libraries > Frederick, MD The implication was that the photo album was made of acid paper. So an archivist WOULD be as likely to dismantle the album as any other method. The assumption being that the photos are more important than the album that cannot be preserved. Worse, the album itself would eat up the photos. If the album was not acid, then preserving as is would be fine and in keeping with provenance and etc. --charles <lmno@NOSPAMmindspring.com>
