Today's DNA tests are not so sophistocated as to be able to pinpoint a tribal connection although they can indicate, in some cases, the existence of Native American or other Asian ancestry. In your case with mtDNA--the Indian heritage would need to be on your paternal grandmother's "tail female" side--meaning her mother's mother's mother's etc. line. Joan JYoung6180@aol.com
