So when Illya posted, so far as he could tell, nothing happened. So he reposted, leaving out soc.genealogy.methods. I came along later, hadn't noticed he'd posted again, and approved his original post. Sorry about that. Re commercial spam, don't beat him up too badly about that. The historical standard has been that *announcements* by commercial firms are vaguely OK, so long as they aren't offensively commercial and don't show up more often than monthly.
