Still, I get requests to leave out information...one of the strangest cases was a woman who requested that I leave her former husband out, as she had only married him so that he could (fraudulently) get an immigration visa. Another strange request was from a person who told me who his biological father was - a married man, who died a decade ago, but his widow was still alive and had no idea that her husband had fathered a child 40 years ago. Basically I was asked not to publish the connection while she was alive. Sometimes things get even more complicated. A 17-year old adopted boy contacted me and asked me to publish data on his biological father in the online database. The biological father was OK with this, but the adoptive father was not. The solution in this case was to wait a month, until the boy was 18, and his adoptive father's permission was no longer needed. [email protected]
