Hello, I am trying by different ways to locate (find the identity) of my unknown grandfather. He was supposedly killed during the first WW, somewhere in France. I have a picture of the alleged man and I have been told that my grandmother went to the Red Cross in an attempt to locate him. I have heard that the Red Cross aided in the search for relatives and that they kept some form of record of the person or relative who made the inquiry. Is this true? Would this record also say whom the person was that was sought after? Bengt Boysen in Sweden. BengtB <[email protected]>
