    2. Ye Old One
    3. Several years ago I started a mailing list for people interested in the Brenchley family worldwide. However, for some time the [email protected] mailing list has been suffering from problems with slow propagation and some messages disappearing altogether. After a lot of testing I've concluded that coollist.com is not up to the job. So I've been out and invested in some proper software to bring the job in-house. The new list, like the old, will cover all aspects of research into the Brenchley name (and it derivatives) from its roots Kent in the 1200s, right up to date with news of living Brenchleys worldwide. To subscribe to the list all you need to do is send an email to: [email protected] with a subject line of: Subscribe List1 No need for any text in the body of the email. For anyone interested the software I'm using is a program is called VPOP3, available from Paul Smith Computer Services (www.pscs.co.uk). If anyone needs help in setting up a similar mailing list then I will be happy to help, write to me at the [email protected] address. -- Bob.

    2. BengtB
    3. Hello, I am trying by different ways to locate (find the identity) of my unknown grandfather. He was supposedly killed during the first WW, somewhere in France. I have a picture of the alleged man and I have been told that my grandmother went to the Red Cross in an attempt to locate him. I have heard that the Red Cross aided in the search for relatives and that they kept some form of record of the person or relative who made the inquiry. Is this true? Would this record also say whom the person was that was sought after? Bengt Boysen in Sweden. BengtB <[email protected]>

If you want only "ALL" the words, try the "advanced search" link... Though that too may not be fully effective; Google seems to also indicate when a site have many references to any of the terms using an indented summary below the primary listing. -- bieber.genealogy Dennis Lee Bieber HTTP://home.earthlink.net/~bieber.genealogy/ Dennis Lee Bieber <[email protected]>
