We are working on a Family History of the Williams and Roberts families of Monroe and Vernon Counties, Wisconsin. James Andrew Williams and his wife, Syntha (or Synthia) Ann Roberts moved to the rural Ontario area in the early 1880's. James and Syntha had six children, Charles Oscar Williams, Holsie Arndt, Otto, Grover, James, and Chester Williams. Syntha also had a sister, Mary Roberts Harper, that lived in Ontario and a cousin, James G. (Big Pappy) Roberts that settled in the La Farge area.
