I spoke at length with LDS in UK yesterday and was sold a copy of Viewer 3 which though not available anymore separately is still bundled at no extra cost with the Mormon Disk. They made no mention of the existence of Viewer 4 so I assume it is a case of UK being behind US again and would need to be ordered directly from USA if wanted in hurry. I will be interested in seeing how Viewer 3 performs differently from Viewer 2 and how Viewer 4 performs differently from the other two when I can lay my hand on it but I feel that I should observe that for anyone wanting to run the standard issue (with 1881 Census) Viewer 2 with WindowsXp they should have no worries: it performs perfectly well as far as I can see and the only reason that I would try the others is that I am one of those inveterate fiddlers and twiddler who will try anything 17 times.. 3. Interesting thread this as I made enquiries through the LDS in Birmingham on Monday about Viewer 3 or 4 for 1881. They said that neither was available for 1881 although the US LDS had replied to my email query saying that I could upgrade to Viewer 4. Guy - I am running Viewer 2 on XP and am not having any problems. I wonder should I have said that and am now tempting fate! I was about to try your instructions for using both DVD and CD-ROM drives. Do you know of any reason why this shouldn't work with XP?
