I guess I would use the money toward the purchase of a 19" monitor. However, I can live without that monitor. Hmmmm, Man I need a kick in the pants to help me decide. Anyone else going to chime in here? I need some advice. thanks,

That is inexpensive, providing you don't ruin your clothes<g>. Seriously, I think it depends on a lot of issues and what Ancestry has to offer. For me, they have little that would interest me as my research is in Quebec and Italy. Besides, I find it fun to look at these old records and see where my ancestor signed a birth certificate or possibly had to pay a fine for ripping someone off. In addition, the best data is that taken from actual records, not from someone else's database. There are some terrific researchers out there who quite accurate in their research, but for every good one, there might be a 1000 who take stuff found on the internet as gospel and then pass it off to someone who also thinks the data is accurate. It may be, but then again, it may not. Your call. Myself, I prefer quality over quantity. Of course, I only live 3 miles from one of the FHC locations and it only takes a few weeks to obtain a microfilm that I can view myself. My nickle's worth. Dick
