Does anyone know of the name being used as anything other than a Surname? Excluding the Maiden name of the wife. I have an Edward Valins Bradley, son of James & Charlotte Bradley (Nee Bunday) baptised 1843 in Bath, Somerset, England. I have now found that Charlottes sister married a Thomas Cooper Vallins, and was wondering whether there was a connection. I know that the surname of the father of a baseborn child is sometimes used as a 2nd name, but I would not expect that in this case, as Charlotte was already married to James & any affair outside of the marriage would not want to be make public. James was an Artist was there a famous Artist that he named his son after?
