There are 67 NIXONs listed as arriving 1683-1880 in the first volume of FILBY's "Immigration Lists Index" and additional NIXONs in the supplemental volumes. There are several NIXONs listed in the 1790 census of PA and a few in 1790 VA census. What you need to do instead of trying to tie into Richard NIXON is to start with your parents and work back a generation at a time. Use censuses, early marriage and probate records to establish families. You may also be able to find some local histories along the way that could be helpful.
