I'm relatively new at genealogy, but already my database is getting rather large. I'ld like to be able to quickly differentiate "blood relatives" from those who are only related by marriage. Does anyone using Legacy know of a way to do this? I've toyed with all of the available options, but haven't made any progress.
While you cant do exactly that you can do 3 things Set Relationships - so i set them from my son and it catches hubby's and my relatives and displays their relationship to my son the source person can be changed anytime Set Direct line as preferred - same thing set the direct line from my son and his direct line ancestors show up in bold the source person can be changed anytime and in the deluxe version Set Ancestor Colours - Blue for hubbies relo's Red for mine hubby's mum's ancestors are red and my mum's are yellow a little box pops up in their name area the source person can be changed anytime -- Helen Castle have a look at my rellie's at: http://www.ozemail.com.au/~hcastle/ ICQ 3184996 Penrith Dispensary Register http://www.ozemail.com.au/~jmalloy Miscellaneous Newspaper Transcripts http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hcastle Happy to share my AVRI's and NSW BDM's email me for lookups For the discussion of Australia and New Zealand genealogy.
