I have access to the NYS library in Albany. They have an extensive collection of census sheets from every county in NYS. Also the archives have a vital record index of births, marriage and death records for NY State. I can also get copies of city directory pages for cities and towns all over the state, civil war records, obituaries and wills from the Albany area. The other option is to pay for your advertising. There are numerous genealogy web sites that will list you for a small fee. Very small, generally. There may be some that will list you for free.
