I urge those who wish to discuss methods to post their comments in the unmoderated group soc.genealogy.methods. One benefit is that those who are interested in methods might not have to wade through all the "lookup please" and "Blaha Genealogy" crap in order to learn anything. Speaking of which, I saw two weeks ago that there was a lively discussion of "laundry bluing" in the "moderated" soc.genealogy.methods, consisting of some 8-10 posts IIRC. These are posts the "moderator" thought appropriate and on-topic for the group, although Bob Heiling's post, which was on topic, was censored. What other posts is the "moderator" censoring, and for what reasons? If "does anyone remember laundry bluing" can get through, what can't? And why? Food for thought--at least for the unimpaired.

That should be alt.genealogy.methods. Sorry, what Lizzie had might just be catching.
