IŽm searching for two brothers of my grandfather who emigrated to USA from Sweden. They lived in Keräsjoki in the county Norrbotten. All I know are that they left earliest in the end of 1800 but most probably they left sometimes in the beginning of 1900 or the middle. Their names was Hans Petter, born 1877 and Carl Oskar, born 1885. I believe their last name was Oskarsson because that was my grandfathers name. Hans Petter hadnŽt the same father as Carl Oskar and he could maybe have used the name Hannanpoika wich was the name his mother gave him when he was born and before she met Oskar Raumaniemi wich she married and who where the father of the rest of her children (Erik William born 1880, Hanna Karolina born 1882, Hilda Wilhelmina born 1889, Fanny Matilda born 1895). Maybe the brothers changed the spelling of the last name a little in USA. I also can think that Carl Oskar, the youngest one, maybe siad he was a little older than he was, because 1900 he was only 15.
