Gosh you are sceptical. I guess you've not heard of this site before. It's not exactly new and yes it is a pay site, just like the 1901 census site is. The original posters question actually points out a major problem with using the index data provided by this site!- eg how do you narrow down all the hits you get on common surnames. Colin
