    1. DNA testing: Oxford Ancestors and Genographic Project
    2. Has anybody out there tested these two labs? I had my DNA tested by both of them, but they deliver a pretty confusing result for the Y chromosome (number of STRs): Oxford: DYS 389i: 11 DYS 389ii-i: 18 Genographic: 389-1: 14 389-2: 18 I don't know the relation between the two naming schemes. According to Oxford, they label the same locations on the chromosome. But this would mean that there is a contradiction between the STRs at DYS389i (11) and 389-1 (14). If this proves to be true, the whole analysis would be worthless... Genographic says that the loci are NOT the same! Does anybody know how these labels relate to each other?
