I don't know of ANY magazine that renews automatically, and I believe that it's against the law. But I won't deal with Ancestry.com since they're such sleazeballs. I will never, never, never, give my credit card number to any company that uses this kind of auto renewal. Never.

Take a look here: http://www.familysearch.org/ go to "search", and plug "Nixon" into the last name field. You might want to do this with exact spelling turned on. > Do we have a crest or emblem or something Short answer: Families, with very very few exceptions (like the Windsor's of England I believe) don't have family crests, although there are scammers who have been selling them for probably centuries. Welcome to the group - it's usually pretty friendly, and we try to be helpful. The Nixon surname should be fairly easy to research, as it's not terribly common (Miller, for instance, is almost impossible to find the right family). Also, if you know you're related to Richard M., I'd be surprised if his tree isn't online somewhere. Hope this helps, Dave Hinz

Do you expect to have to tell the carrier every week to bring papers next week, or do you expect it to be done that way? It's a subscription service, and as such, auto-renews just like every other subscription service that I use. It's standard business process for this type of a service. Dave Hinz

    3. They didn't call me this last time but I keep check on when my account is due and it didn't bother me as I would have renewed anyway. I have found them a great deal of help but then I need to do some double takes to correct some of the information I do find just to make sure that it is accurate. Like what would you do if you got a letter after you asked someone a question as well as a statement about his ancestor marrying a person who died at the age of three he wrote back and told my I didn't deserve a civil reply. Besides he spelled my mothers last (maiden) name wrong. She was a MANNING not a MOURNING. Edith "Jon E. 3. I thought so, too. At the VERY least, the trains came out of Big Cities in the East; seems to me last time this topic came 'round someone reported that some of the trains picked up additional children in Big Cities they passed through. RandMcNally puts Newport as a sort of 'burb to Cincinnati, so maybe it qualified? Then again, a child with one parent isn't an "orphan" (except in estate proceedings) and I sort of have a vague recollection that these orphan-train orphans were out of city-run orphanages? Let's all hope someone familiar with 'em will answer her!
