Hello, Something just reminded me that I wanted to mention a PBS show I saw on TV about a week ago. "Forgotten Ellis Island" about the history of the hospital there. I just wondered whether anyone else had seen it. Actually, a few years ago I looked up on-line a little history of when "hospitals" first existed in the US. From memory, I think the first one was in PA, and then NY. More sad stories came out of those very early hospitals !
