Hi again, Out of curiousity, I just tried to find Frederick W. SAVAGE in census pages, and the only time I'm finding a possible man is in Manhattan, NY, in 1910: SAVAGE, FREDERICK W (1910 U.S. Census) NEW YORK , NEW YORK, 12-WD MANHATTAN Age: 52, Male, Race: WHITE, Born: ME Series: T624 Roll: 1021 Page: 20 This says he was born in Maine, and so were his parents. When looking for him, I found out that SAVAGE is a very popular name. But, I don't remember this surname being mentioned on the Lists too often. The census page says that this Frederick is single, and living in the home of a couple from CT. And at that time he is a laborer for a building contractor. If he was 52 in 1910, and this is the same man, he would have been in his 50's when he was unjustly committed to the series of State Hospitals. I wonder where he went after he was released. Betty (near Lowell, MA) (Strangely, there is a different, younger Frederick SAVAGE working as an employee in the Augusta State Hospital in Maine in 1920.) (Also strangely, I'm seeing on-line that a younger, Frederick W. SAVAGE, 21, married in Manhatten, NY, in 1909.) (See my other postings from this morning for further information.)
