I know all about my grandmother's married life and later years, but her early years are a near blank. Apparently, the 'elders' didn't volunteer too much information about their past. I checked the links you provided, but they did not produce any records. I am beginning to think that she may have lived in Lowell (though my aunt claimed that my GM said she was 'born and raised' in Lowell), however she may in reality have been born elsewhere. Her name was, indeed, Monica. The problem is the exact spelling of her last name, which at this point, we simply don't know. It was my mistake in previously listing her on the 1910 census. Actually, she is listed in 1920 census and thereafter as Monica Barry - her married name (New York). Her sister, Anna - married name Fernandez - lived in Bayonne NJ (yes, Candido was her husband). and I have located her census reports also. They had a brother, Joseph, but again, without a last name & DOB, it's a dead trail. On the censuses for Monica, she lists her birthplace as Mass., and Anna lists hers as NJ. Regarding Antoni and Josephine, that's absolutely all I know; that the spelling of their last name at immigration could have so many phonetic variations. Depending on Monica's censuses, the parents are listed as being born in either Germany or Lithuania, which doesn't help. I have no idea when they came to the US, or how.
