Reuben Hall could have been aboard the Dartmouth as a junior officer or a seaman and a relative of James Hall. Family lore said Reuben knew very little about farming when he removed to Ashfield and pulled his beans up thinking they were weeds. So it is quite possible he was a sailor while he lived in Yarmouth. I feel the story bears truth in that he was a man of the sea and may have been in Boston at the time of the Tea Party and a witness to some activities. Several Hall families left Yarmouth and went to Ashfield at the same time. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
