    1. [GENMASSACHUSETTS] Francis & Lucy KIDDER of 1700's MA

    3. Hello, I only have time for a quick question this morning. I am trying to solve a "mystery," and it would help if I could find descendants of: Francis KIDDER and Lucy (?) who might have married in Concord, MA ~1751. They had 10 children, with the first 5 born in Concord, starting in 1752, and going up to 1774. Francis was born in ~1730 in Chelmsford / Westford, MA. His father, Thomas KIDDER "dropped dead" in 1729 - the day that Westford was annexing off of Chelmsford. Researchers believe that his widow, Mrs. Joanna (KEYES) KIDDER, was pregnant with their 5th son at the time, and that was Francis. Francis seems to have lived in several towns in MA during the 1750's to 1800. He was probably the Francis KIDDER who died in Tyngsboro in 1811. The "KIDDER book" has information on the 7 sons of Francis and Lucy, but no information on their 3 daughters. Several of the sons remained close to their cousins in New Ipswich, NH, and some moved there. I can offer information from the book if anyone is interested. (One note is that some of Francis' sons "inherited" important KIDDER items, formerly belonging to Francis' father, Thomas, and they were given to them by their uncle, Reuben KIDDER, New Ipswich.) Betty (near Lowell, MA) (Another note: The widow, Mrs. KIDDER, remarried and had more children. Information is in the archives of the Lists.)
