I'm searching for some information on Francois Larocque. I don't know his birth or death date, or who he married, but he had a daughter, Angelina Larocque, who married Arthur Descouteaux. Family lore has it that he was half Cherokee Indian (his father was french canadian)and attended a Native American boarding school in Springfield Mass. First off, was there a Native American boarding School in Springfield, mass? i haven't found any evidence of one, although in his pictures he looks very Native American, which seems to verify the theory. It is doubtful he was born in massachusetts, but it could still be a possibility. i haven't found him listed on any cherokee documents, either. Can anyone help?
