The following seems to be your man again in 1920 census, but he is now listed as Mads H. Brotbech in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah; It seems he has married again???? Mads H. Brotbeck 46 b.Denmark works as Machinist Laura M. Brotbeck (wife) 41 born Denmark In 1930 I believe they are living in Tyler, Lincoln Co., Minnesota: Mads Broberg 54 b.Denmark, express messenger for railroad Laura Broberg 47 b.Iowa ~ lodging house keeper Palmer Broberg 19 b.Minnesota (son) Hans Brown 44 - roomer b.Iowa Emil Sorenson 49 - roomer b.Denmark You can see there is some discrepancy in the ages of wife Laura within these census, in the 1930 census it tells us that she was aged 17 when she first married and Mads was 26...with their son Palmer being born about 1911 it seems that Laura is Mads' second wife?? And where is Palmer in the 1920 census? Also 1920 says Laura born Denmark and 1930 Iowa ~ I think these inconsistancies could be due to language barriers between the census taker and the family?
